Battery copper and some questions...

Post by EV_Builder »

Question anyone any guidance how thick the copper needs tobe between 2 modules?

Anyone any idea how to protect the copper strip/bar? Will heat shrink do?

Is there need to use some kind of paste between the terminals and the copper?

see http://www.wdrautomatisering.nl for bespoke BMS modules.

it depends on which terminals are on your battery cells. For example, I use new Catl with laser-welded screws. there are aluminum terminals and using copper tires is very stupid. So I go to Leroy Merlin and buy an inexpensive 20x2 mm aluminum strip . this is enough with a margin and does not require any protection.
