Renault Zoe motor control

Post by stevebarnes »

Good morning everyone,

Many years ago I converted a 2CV to electric using a Lemco motor, you can see some details here:

I am thinking about my next 2CV conversion, but this time I would like a more modern motor without using the 2CV gearbox. Now this brings its own complications, but I have my eye on the Renault Zoe motor. Has anyone had any success using this motor in a conversion? Basically it's a wound rotor 3 phase synchronous motor.

Thanks,

Steve

The inverter hasn't been hacked in any way, to my knowledge.
You could run the motor with Prius inverter if that's feasible in your country (in Germany motor and inverter must be matched). Just need to get the excitation sorted

Renault Zoe inverter can not run without Zoe, beacouse invertor need immo data via CAN BUS. Make custom invertor logic board impossible, becouse original PCB have to mach layer, and soldering 4 board to each other.
