Inverter Firmware v5.00.R

Post by johu »

Release time!

https://github.com/jsphuebner/stm32-sin ... ag/v5.00.R
  • Allow running booster from user PWM channel at 8k8 Hz
  • Allow setting nodeid for SDO messages and also for terminal
  • Allow only enabling terminal with certain node id (meant for dual motor boards)
  • Corrected FOC idc calculation to allow meaningful DC current limits
Care must be taken when programming another nodeid than 1 because that will initially disable the terminal.

Strange - the maximum that I can overclock the engine on this firmware is 6 hz 88 rpm. https://openinverter.org/parameters/view.html?id=20 In the inverter configuration, the previous firmware is 4.97.R-sine. She works!

I must confess I lost my asynchronous motor test mule :(
So cannot test this myself right now. Will check the code if I find something.

I can test this for you on my mazda. Tell me what data do you need.
I can record. Old firmware running as comparative data and later record new firmware. I have AB encoder and i really need current limiting with Mazda.

How did it go?

I think I will pin sine firmware at version 4.97.R for now and only release new sine versions if somebody has tested it. All boards that I sell will come with version 4.97.R-sine. FOC boards of course come with recent FOC version.

Working well for me on both FOC and sine (although not clean code, but I don't think I've touched anything important...)

Three observations: 1) The motor is SMOOOTH, 2) DC Current limit works WELL, 2) The VCU thinks DC current is about double what the meter does.

I was hoping to do some charge testing, but that will have to wait until I fix the PC resistor on the relay board :(

Everything worked out! Changed Potmode settings to DualChannel and it all worked! 8-)
