Components for test rig

Post by kon »

Hi,

I'm trying to put together a list of parts for a test rig I can use in the shop for testing soft/hardware changes.
I have a Tesla drive unit and got a V6 SDU board from jlc which will be used in the car, but I recently got my hands on a Prius gen 2 inverter.
Since I rather not run my tests (and potentially destroy) on the Tesla unit, I thought of using the Prius inverter as a starting point for a simple test rig.

Do you guys have a particular battery/motor you can recommend for this kind of on-bench setup?
I don't need anything fancy, the simpler/smaller/cheaper/more available it is the better. I would love to test battery charging from 120VAC wall power, so a battery solution would be preferred over a AC/DC power supply. The motor will be free spinning and not driving any load.

Thank you
