Ver 2 help needed

Post by Esbro »

Hi everyone, I bought my Ver2 Kit back in 2018, but due to unforeseen family Problems, I'm only just at the testing stage.
Having gone through checking of connections and components, I've hooked up the gate drivers to the scope. I get wave forms - but not what I expected. What I see looks like a square wave not a sine. Has anyone got any thoughts on this ??
Many thanks ... Steve

Gate drivers should output square waves, that's fine. However the waves should average out to a sine wave.
Kinda like this (without the curvy line)

Hi Isaac96, Thanks for your quick reply. I think my square waves are all at the same pitch, but I'll check this by fiddling with the (very old) scope .
thanks again - will post again when I get more info..... Steve

You will need to scope over many periods to see the change. It also depends on the frequency "fstat". Anyway, square waves is what you want.

Thanks Johu, I'll bear that in mind. I may have to increase the time period on scope to see better.
Cheers.... Steve
