Possible OI board candidate

Seems like an interesting automotive grade IGBT module available between under 400amps to 950amps. I found some 800a versions on ebay for $375.
Between the documentation on switching characteristics and ability to add a very simplistic water cooling block, it might be nice substantial power option for comparatively low cost, even brand new the 950a version is around $700. Albeit still need to build a gate driver board, but not unreasonable.

The 800A version used in Nissan Leaf 3 and BMW i3 inverter.
They run it with 2.x Ohm gate resistors, so pretty substantial drive current (about 7A peak)

Good to know. I might fire a lowball offer at one of the eBay units and try my hand at a design. If that materializes it’ll of course be open sourced since I’ll need some folks with actual experience to point out all the dumb mistakes 😅 Looks like there’s a development board out there that can serve as a high level template.
