Hi first EV Renault zoe

Post by Doorlock9handy »

:) I am new to this type of project, but not to car mechanics, putting a Zoe motor and gearbox in a Peugeot 307 my wife's old car.
I will use an open source inverter as the Zoe's inverter needs backward engineering and I am not sure how to do this.
My motor and gearbox are nearly in so now making motor mounts.
Anyone else doing this?
Also I will be using an updated can system as 307 uses can basic.
Using electric assisted brake, electric steering.
Laptop screen for instrument cluster controlled by Raspberry pi 4.
My biggest problem is the driveshafts, I have sourced the Zoe's driveshafts need help balancing to stop steering shake!
Well I hope my project will inspire more research into the French electric car conversions.

Welcome :)
Zoe components should become abundant given the large quantity of cars out there. They have a separately excited rotor if I remember correctly.

I am currently working on something like this , apparently someone has use a fluence ze motor with some sort of custom controller. My plan is to take entire drivetrain minus the battery and then imitate the factory bfs with Bmw modules.
