Has anyone managed to run a Gen 1 Prius inverter? There's some interesting info on the development history of the NHW11 (2000-2003) Prius from an even earlier Japan-only predecessor in this paper written by Toyota engineers: "Development of Electric Motors for the TOYOTA Hybrid Vehicle “PRIUS”" - https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/6b4a/e ... 70f1e6.pdf
And quite detailed comparisons between the Gen 1 and Gen 2 motors in documents from Oak Ridge ( e.g. https://info.ornl.gov/sites/publication ... b57348.pdf). Gen 1 didn't have a HV DC-DC buck boost converter and runs the HV DC bus directly on the 200V battery voltage.
I haven't found a description of anyone re-purposing and running a Gen 1 inverter. Has anyone tried? Is it (im)possible? Any hints appreciated. Thanks!
