Looking for a BMS System to work with smart car 17kwh battery

Post by Dre.esky »

I’m looking for a cost effective BMS for smart electric car battery pack. I was doing so searching and came across this BMS
https://www.lithiumbatterypcb.com/produ ... t-current/ and I’m wondering if it’s any good 🤔
I welcome anybody’s input

If you have some patience you can wait for the openinverter BMS :)
Turnaround from China takes a while, so we're looking into March next year for a full bulk to show up.

I'm not really into this big time. But there are like different style and design tactics regarding BMSes.
Usually bikes and power tools use the type in your link. Those types allow to cut off the complete power to and from the cells.
They will cut it out when over or under voltage.

Now in cars the system works like aside so it means that while driveing all that power isn't flowing through your BMS.
The system does monitor the values and will send a command to a cut off device when needed.

If i see it correctly you try to use a style 1 in a car. I don't know if that's a wise thing todo. Wise as in will it work/last/ price effective :)
