So uhh... I kind of spontaneously bought this motor for $3000 without really considering the investment it would take (both time and money) to put it to use, and I'm a full-time college student. Anyways, it's a performance (sport) unit from a crashed 2014 P85. I don't know the specific miles but it's under 40k, and the motor honestly looks super clean to me (though its the first Tesla motor I've seen up close), the transmission oil is perfect and looks brand new.
I don't have the driveshafts, just the unit itself.
I had an idea in my head of a 500hp+ electric dune buggy but it's gonna have to wait for at least 2 years until I graduate. I figure I'd pass this on for what I got it for and let someone else make use of it. If nobody wants it I'll probably (attempt to) assemble the open-source controller and just keep it till I get the money for batteries and whatnot.
I guess this is more of a local thing unless you want to take care of shipping, in which case I'll gladly make a pallet for it and take it to the courier. (It weighs somewhere between maybe 250-300lbs)
I'm asking for $3,000 (which I feel is quite a bit less than it's worth, considering it's a 2014 which you know won't have problems like the 2012 and 2013 do, which are what you see on eBay for around $3500, that's why I bought it). Though I may be willing to entertain offers.
