Awesome? I am clueless when it comes to CAD or 3D printing, so would you be able to make some and sell them to us?

Please and Thank You

that's better, hard to tell in the pics but the PCB sits all the way in now as the two 20 pin headers no longer hit the sides and slide 1/4" further back in

baby steps

we're not done yet, but we're getting there, had to stop for the night as it started to rain outside and it was getting dark

please keep in mind we are not going for perfection, this is just a stop gap until the right header comes back in stock

I decided to purchase the "Engine Wire" harness which is the technical name for what we call the Transmission Wiring Harness on eBay for $250 bucks, expensive - yes, needed - absolutely! It's the green aka olive one below (I know that schematic/diagram is horrible, but Lexus never breaks it up into individual diagrams, and all the wire harnesses are always shown together... Epic Fail!)

Note: This wire harness does NOT come with the Inverter plug!

Harness Part # 82121-30E21 is for 2007-2010 (this is the one I bought)
$1,369 at the local Stealership

Harness Part # 82121-30E22 is for 2009-2011

so first I laid it out and then I began to "thin" it out
IMG_5568.JPG
this is as if you were standing in front of the vehicle looking down on the engine bay
IMG_5570.JPG
part of this harness is a small completely separate Fuel Injector harness
IMG_5592.JPG
so here it is again minus that Fuel Injector harness

I made the mistake of looking for the Inverter plug in the low resolution pics of the eBay listing, and you can easily mistake the two ECM Engine Control Module plugs (one is larger than the other) for the Inverter plug

the best way to try and identify this transmission harness in crappy pics is to look for this squigly plastic harness section that runs along the driver side of the transmission, it contains 4 plugs

1. MG1 Resolver connector (gray)
2. MG2 Resolver connector (gray)
3. Shift Solenoids connector (gray)
4. VSS Vehicle Speed Sensor connector (black)

on the other side of the transmission lives the Safety Neutral Switch (gray) connector

IMG_6244.JPG
IMG_6249.JPG
so in total we get 5 transmission connectors with this harness

but at the heart of this wire harness are the two complete home runs of the Resolver cables, one per motor

this is the transmission end, each plug looks the same (8 pins each)
IMG_5603.JPG
However on the other end MG2 (black plug) gets two extra pins, these are for positive power leads for the Inverter

so here are those two Resolver cables separated from the Engine Wire aka transmission harness, this alone to me was worth $250 and you will understand once you attempt to crimp these to the plugs, ha ha

What's that? Did I make an excruciating boring video about the transmission wire harness? Of course I did!

with the transmission harness thinned out I quickly realized it take Two To Tango so I went out and paid $300 dollars for a $235 dollar Inverter harness official name is Engine Room Main Wire

Part Numbers:

82111-30K62 fits 2008-2009 (this is the used one that I just bought)
costs $7,144 new

82111-30K64 fits 2010
costs $6,341 new

don't get too hung up on the part numbers many different part numbers will work/fit, the difference in part numbers does not only depend on the year of your Lexus but the options on that vehicle like what kinds of headlights it is equipped with, I am not making this stuff up, I spoke to a parts rep at the stealership

when I lay awake at night I justify overpaying by telling myself mine came with this handsome carrying case

so once again we turn to the craptacular Lexus wire harness diagram to identify the Inverter Harness aka the Engine Room Main Wire

Note: everything points to the light blue inverter harness
