Testing SDU inverter
Hi Forum. Can the inverter (with Openinverter control board) be run without encoder for bench testing using a small 3 phase induction motor driven fan as load ?

Absolutely! Just use 'start 2' to get into manual mode, then change fslipspnt, fweak, and ampnom as needed.

Just be careful to avoid overheating the inverter -- apparently they don't really like running without coolant because the thermal mass is low.
