Re: [WIP] Leyland 255 Tractor - Nissan Leaf EM61
Nice work, looking good. What are the legal implications of converting a tractor? Will you be able to drive it on the road? Shouldn't be any reason why I can't drive it on the road. I've already got it road registered with photos from before I stripped it down, then assuming it goes the same as the...

Re: [WIP] Leyland 255 Tractor - Nissan Leaf EM61
Been doing a little bit of work on this in the evenings when it gets too dark to work in the MG shed. Mostly starting on the 12v system, running wires for lights etc. It now has a full set of new tyres. PXL_20231012_092957941.jpg Also got it spinning for the first time tonight! https://youtube.com/s...

Re: Zombie and SDO
Have got a theory from Mr Catphish on why it's not working. Doesn't look like Zombie has anything in CAN filtering to allow the SDO messages through. Will try and test it this week and update.

Re: Zombie and SDO
Oh yeah sorry missed out that quite important point in my last post. Didn't seem to work in either format. I think it's a Zombie specific thing, seen the new format working with the most recent OI firmware on an LDU board this last week.

Bit of an update. Been trying both new and old format message. This current message is trying to change Throtmax which is number 25 on the param_prj.h. Trying to change the value of Throtmax to 10.

Zombie and SDO
Another Zombie question. Has anyone used CAN SDO with zombie to change parameters? I a little lost on what variant of CAN SDO it uses. It looks like it references a branch of the libpopeninv from 10 months ago, so I'm guessing it would be using 0x23 as the command byte to change a parameter. Althoug...

Zombie Run Indication
Hi, just a quick question on the Zombie IO options. Specifically the Run Indication, is this active when the inverter is in run mode or just when it's in gear? I'm assuming run but hoping in gear.
Edit: Answered my own question. It is active when the inverter is in run mode.

Re: [WIP] Leyland 255 Tractor - Nissan Leaf EM61
Have a test battery from the MG fitted now. Had to remove most of the tinwork at the front, but it will do the job. Currently cleaning up and painting the rear wheels before getting new tyres put on. Then I need to look at hooking up the new hydrostatic steering. After that it should be ready for a ...

Cable side AC connector is TE YHVA630-5phm-6mm-A and HV output coding A is 2141256-1. But I have no information about data connector so is there any markings for a clue even if its vag own connector? Or any part number for wiring harness that have this connector? It's the same as the other VW charg...

Re: MLBevo Charger- 11kw & 22kw Info
I've had a good go at porting this code to the Zombie, but it's proving to be a bit more than my limited coding skills can handle at the moment.
I'll keep trying, but if anyone gets bored of waiting here is the cut down arduino script that runs the charger.

Re: MLBevo Charger- 11kw & 22kw Info
I have a 7.2kW Cayenne Phev charger which I think belongs to this family as well. Only has the one hybrid canbus and I have it running on Mitchy's script. Model number 5QE 915 681 BQ. I have narrowed down the required canbus messages to the following: 10ms: 0x191 100ms: 0x3C0 0x503 0x1A1 This is the...

Re: MEB Chargers
Been messing around with my Cayenne charger for the last few months. Tonight I finally got some continuous charge out of it. Uploaded are the coding settings I used in PIWIS. I think the main settings that did it was disabling power line communications and also enabling plug and charge. Edit: On fur...

Re: Outlander rear motor and inverter
Here is my github repo on the controller I made for it, hardware and software. I wouldn't recommend using it though, teensy 3.6s are hard to find and there are some pretty glaring issues in the hardware design to say the least. It was originally designed for controlling the Gen 2 prius open inverter...

Re: Outlander rear motor and inverter
LRBen, what system or device are you using to handle CAN signal generation/communication to the Mitsubishi inverter ? I'm looking to try experiments with my Imiev inverter and motor and hopefully it's similar in its CAN language... anything that you can share with me would be very helpful. Cheers. ...

Re: Registering and changing tax class of an EV conversion in the UK
Seems the DVLA are now refusing to update even pre 2001 log books. I heard today about a conversion that was inspected by the DVLA, they then told the owner that they were completely happy with the conversion. But couldn't update the fuel type due to being told not too by a "Higher Authority&qu...

Re: can id´s 4 Gear Selector
What message exactly unlocks and locks the knob? And what message does the knob drop down? On Gen 1 I think just switching off ignition 12v will lower the knob. You should be able to lock it by just not sending any canbus messages. Afraid it's been a while since I looked at this so I can't remember...

Re: can id´s 4 Gear Selector
Now the knob rotates freely. But in the car, it is locked and only when the brake pedal is pressed does the knob unlock. How to implement it? What data needs to be sent to the CAN bus? Wouldn't be too hard to implement. We know what canbus is used to lock or unlock the knob, you could run the brake...

Re: can id´s 4 Gear Selector
Hi guys. I adapted LRBen's code for Arduino Uno with CAN shield. Now everything works, but there are a few nuances. When I return the knob from the R to P position, the program crashes for a few seconds and then it works again. Sometimes the situation is the same with position S. Could you look at ...

there are so many topics on Mitsubishi, but it turns out to be very difficult to find the information I need. Re: MG F - Outlander Rear motor and inverter.
So been driving this since September. Probably covered around 3,000 miles with no huge issues. Motor performance is really good, I just put it in second gear and treat it like an auto. I added a tiny bit of regen via the brake lights, feels a bit like engine braking so I can siphon off a little ener...

Re: Leyland 255 Tractor - Nissan Leaf EM61
Using an ebike controller to drive a Leaf motor is really stupid, whoever told you it was a good idea? Shan't be listening to them again! But it did work long enough, to be fair it was probably more my fault for running it in some sort of self learning mode rather than mess around with thrott...

Sort of feels like progress if they are skipping the inspections now. Guess there is no point in them since there is no tax savings that could potentially be fraudulently claimed.

Re: CCS2 Chargeport from ID3/ID4
I have a VW CCS charge port, just been figuring out the pinout this evening. Little late but I hope this helps for anyone else looking. 4 pin connector to interlock. 1J0973704 is the connector for this. 1. Lock drive - 12v to open 2. Lock feedback 3. Lock feedback 4. Lock drive + 12v to close 10 pin...
