Re: Hill hold functionality

Tried it, doesn't work. Speed info is much less accurate than position and thus distance info. Yes, because speed is the distance component * time component. So distance = 0 would be then speed=0. Did you try distance =0? To let this work better we would be helped with an inclination sensor... :D I...

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support

my point is that early boards have for sure the WAKE functionality hence i selected the MCP2003 version.
When i'm at LIN territory i will start with the driver.

Re: Hill hold functionality

Maybe a strategy would be to opt for zero speed instead of distance traveled. And don't forget to include windows for small errors. Also a maximum torque and speed would be wise to implement. (While in this mode). A counter option would be handbrake release request from the drive unit. But maybe tha...

Is there a difference between V1 and V2 boards?
Are both versions available on Patreon?

Can someone PLEASE PLEASE help the community and me to solve this. Damien in order to...

I would agree too. I would like to suggest you feed it a contact +12V so only live if key is in contact / car is switched on.

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller

no production EV actually responds to the EVSE power limit reached, current limit reached, and voltage limit reached. Shocking, I know. It also depends on interpretation. It could be pure informational. Also it could be that like "target values" are reached. Or like damien implements, as ...

Re: CAN Bootloader

Ok cool! I'm building the Bootloader GUI app right now. Current speed is like +/-12 seconds to program 27K but i have some tricks on my sleeve remaining. I think its the host pc limiting the speed not the uController. (each msg invokes the GUI currently and that's expensive). (how big are our invert...

No not yet i finished it last night.
Didn't optimize yet for size.
It uses both libraries cm3 and inv.

Re: The ZombieVerter VCU Project

Well, for example checking that flag that never shows on GD would be one way of auto-detecting. [/quote] How reliable is that though? remember my VCU would sometimes start working if left long enough, I'm very much guessing but maybe it was random noise that just happened to look like the flag?????...

CAN Bootloader

As per title! Couldn't find anything available so took the bootloader from Johannes and modified it towards a CAN version. Build a GUI and the rest is history. The CAN Interface used is a profi one from PEAK Systems. https://www.peak-system.com/PCAN-USB-FD.365.0.html?&L=1 Didn't optimize yet for...

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller

Ahh ok i meant proximity indeed. But the LIM reports it so i would solve it by CAN if that works.
Or as you suggest by relais (DPDT ) (fast charge/ac charge).

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller

If I'm correct the wire is split/shared towards the charger and the lim.
I know that the LIM canbus sends 3b4, so the data is available the charger could be 100% canbus.

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller

Did we test the LIM's limits regarding coil resistance? My eyes fell on 11.0 Ohm coils. I know we state 15.0 Ohm as default but I like to keep things standard and not go with a relais in-between trick which would mean I would need to economize the 11.0 Ohm relais. Maybe we can change something simpl...
