Re: [WIP] 1973 VW 1303S
I’ve been wanting to do a bug with outlander running gear for a while, I think it’s the perfect combination. I made drive shaft adapters for the outlander drive unit, so the stock vw axle flanges fit. Thus the stock vw axle bolt right up! a smart fourtwo battery might be worth looking into, the 3 mo...

Re: 1984 Voltswagen Rabbit Prius Gen 3
I highly recommend making stub flanges apposed to custom axle shafts. You’ll then be able to use the stock rabbit axles. take the Prius cv joints, turn them down to a blank stub, press fit into a flange, then Get them tig welded. you could even get some old flanges from an vw or audi to turn down in...

Re: 1984 Voltswagen Rabbit
I've got a combination suggestion that might be interesting (and by might be interesting I mean there are a few in a local junkyard that I'm thinking about finding a use for): What about a Chevy Volt inverter and either the Volt transaxle or a Prius transaxle? Or, if you want to really get crazy, P...

I thought I’d post for those whom don’t follow the git repo, the latest firmware for the zombiverter VCU https://github.com/damienmaguire/Stm32-vcu/releases -Bug fix. IOMatrix inputs had a bug whereby HVrequest and Chademo start request were swapped. HVrequest was also ignored as it was going out of...

Re: 1984 Voltswagen Rabbit
Putting the LEAF stack into a VW Golf seems very tempting if you look at Bratitude's cabrio conversion. It seems with his stub axles, you might be able to use the factory VW axles. This combination might make for one of the easiest FWD conversions given that you need to do zero precision fabricatio...

Re: Tesla Model 3 Battery Cell Failure - Experience Reqd!
I have always used the battery with the internal Tesla BMS. It is a complete sealed pack. The faulty cell 39 continues to lose voltage and is presently 138mV lower than the rest. I am considering cutting a hole in the bottom plate in the vicinity of cell 39 to attach charging wires/probes. This wou...

What vehicle/axles are you trying to adapt to? German?
