Re: Leaf swapped vw golf cabriolet
smart four2 battery uses a ODU 2 pole HV connector, wrecker wants 300$ for the battery cable so thats a no go. https://d1v1e13ebw3o15.cloudfront.net/data/12033/pool_and_spa_master/1335230946_baukasten.jpg the connectors seem to be unattainable, but the matting pins seem to be available https://odu-a...

Re: Leaf Gen 1 Inverter Board
If not did anyone ever design an enclosure that can be 3D Printed for it? I can easily bodge something together but it would be nice to have something properly designed for the job. Thanks I found the oem cad files, cleaned them up and posted them here : https://github.com/bratindustries/molex-head...

Re: Base vs. Performance model
The only difference is the IGBTs. They are just rated for more in the performance units. Regarding the oi board, the power you make will be based off of the parameters you setup. batteries play a huge factor in this as well as how much voltage sagg they exhibit under heavy loads. John volk got some ...

A drive by wire pedal is better because there is less moving parts—less chance of failure, and less mechanical play

Re: Mitsubishi Outlander rear axle
Really interested in the answer to this. Just starting to plan my VW T2 conversion and will be either using an Outlander motor with your shaft adapters , or an imiev one if it does turn out they fit. Comparing driveshaft photos on ebay, the outlander and imieve certainly *look* very similar at moto...

Re: Mitsubishi Outlander rear axle
Just wondering is there some standard for distance between flanges/stubs? If replacing VW transmission model XYZ with mitsubishi rear diff with these stubs, will original drive shafts fit lengthwise? Most diffs are pretty similar in spacing, from the last measurements I took, was about the same spa...

Re: Nissan Leaf Gen2 openinverter board fully assembled
Great. Sounds promising. Quick question: Can this board cover VCU duties for the build (as well as inverter control) or would i need an external VCU product (ex resolve or zombieverter)to cover the basic imputs/outputs to control the car? I am doing gen 2 leaf (PM 56 motor/inverter/pdm) conversion ...

little bit of maintenance; took my pack apart and wired all 3 m3 modules in parallel and let them sit for a few hours. 2 packs were 90v and one was 86, so now pack to pack they are balanced. * note with anyone looking todo the same: be warry, i did this when the packs where at a low state of charge,...

Re: Wind turbine with Tesla Drive unit
tesla unit is pretty over kill and kind of cumbersome. but for a large scale turbine it could be made to work. not to mention the motors are very intergraded with the gearboxes. so mechanically theres a challenge there smaller units like the Hyundai HSG would make a excellent wind turbine generator....

Re: 1967 “voltswagon” split window bus
How will the driveline look? I've seen one other bus with a Leaf stack, and one of the drive shafts had to be really short with a pretty extreme offset from diff to hub. with my drive shaft adapters we ditch the jackshaft/ support bearing. we are centering the diff in the frame horns, so equal axle...

you can alter regen on the fly with a pot directly. can is not your only option.

if your wanting to have the Arduino control regen can is the safest

outlander rear motor drive shaft adapters
after another long wait, the outlander rear motor drive shaft adapters are done! the outer end is a vw beetle (33spline) stub, so stock beetle (90mm) flanges or the 100mm/108mm EMPI conversion flanges work with it (with some minor shaving of the motor case) cold rolled out of 4140 chromoly steel, so...

Bratitude, Are you still making your earlier versions of the adapter plate with a stub shaft and angular contact ball bearing on the leaf output?
