why not just get a can or lin or what ever it is (assuming its canbased) log and go from there??

i'm still only just barely starting to work with the CAN system for my BMS so CAN and LIN are still scary unknowns to me. maybe once i learn how to work with CAN i'll realize that would have been ...

After a great winter of skiing instead of working on the car i am BACK to getting dirty in the garage and making my housemates roll their eyes at me!

Starting with the side quest of getting a heater working. It seems nobody as hacked the leaf PTC cabin heater (the air kind, not the water kind ...

there are also some BMW battery packs that are saddle-shaped as if to bridge a driveshaft through the middle, and i had considered using them for that same between-the-frame rails while dodging the driveshaft application. have you seen those? the one i was looking at is called the SP41 from a 530e ...

if you have space grab some random auxiliary electronics that might come in handy like the heated seat switches and fuse boxes

I wish this write up was around a few months ago! Thank you for making this. I would like to add that you need a decent quality scanner to get anything usable, a $300 lesson i have learned! The 3D Maker Pro Lynx is south of the line. The Einstar is north of that line. It's a quickly changing ...

Got everything installed for the first time! This is just temporary for fabricating the motor mounts and getting cable and hose lengths. Now it all has to come back out for painting the motor mounts. It's a bit of a messy look, but so psyched i got it all to fit with 1/4 of the batteries under the ...

I test fit the motor again to double check the rotation angle. just came across a good deal on a standard range+ tesla model 3 battery, part number 1104428-00-M, so it should have the "short" modules inside.

which stacked in a 17x17x55in box will fit in the gear tunnel of the truck. This will move the weight even lower than under the rear seat, and outside ...

referencing the machinery's handbook we targeted the tightest fit, FN5. We didn't quantify how tight the grip would be, but reasoned that if we can't press it together we'll reduce the interference until it fits. we machined a ...
