why not just get a can or lin or what ever it is (assuming its canbased) log and go from there??
i'm still only just barely starting to work with the CAN system for my BMS so CAN and LIN are still scary unknowns to me. maybe once i learn how to work with CAN i'll realize that would have been ...

there are also some BMW battery packs that are saddle-shaped as if to bridge a driveshaft through the middle, and i had considered using them for that same between-the-frame rails while dodging the driveshaft application. have you seen those? the one i was looking at is called the SP41 from a 530e ...

cool project! try to grab the:
motor/inverter/pdm
all the HV cables
all the heating and cooling stuff
power steering assembly
gauges maybe
if you have space grab some random auxiliary electronics that might come in handy like the heated seat switches and fuse boxes

just wanted to share that Walter at WDR automisering is very helpful when you schedule a support call with him. He stayedo n the line with me for an hour working out my solution. I wish this write up was around a few months ago! Thank you for making this. I would like to add that you need a decent quality scanner to get anything usable, a $300 lesson i have learned! The 3D Maker Pro Lynx is south of the line. The Einstar is north of that line. It's a quickly changing ...

Got everything installed for the first time! This is just temporary for fabricating the motor mounts and getting cable and hose lengths. Now it all has to come back out for painting the motor mounts. It's a bit of a messy look, but so psyched i got it all to fit with 1/4 of the batteries under the ...

The redneckifiction of my garage (gararge as they say around here) is complete. IOW i built a plastic tent around my car workspace so i can work through the winter via space heater more comfortably. After a full day with the space heaters maxed out i got to 45F when it was 32F outside. ugh. it's ...

Does anyone have the manual for the wdr automiseriung BMS? I wrote them and they told me I had to buy a BMS before they would send me any documentation.
That was the case for me. I was super hesitant to buy it with such little documentation. When you buy it there is a decent manual he sends you ...

I test fit the motor again to double check the rotation angle. I had planned to rotate it 90 degrees towards the drivers side, but i really didn't like the cooling ports being totally hidden underneath. so i flopped it back to 45 degrees towards the passenger side and convinced myself the PDM and ...

nice find with that cooling plate! what are you planning for thermal paste between that and the ioniq modules?
I also have a WDR automisering BMS that i have wired and I'm probably going to fire up this week or next, so i'll be following along with your progress. I'm a CAN noob.

just came across a good deal on a standard range+ tesla model 3 battery, part number 1104428-00-M, so it should have the "short" modules inside.
which stacked in a 17x17x55in box will fit in the gear tunnel of the truck. This will move the weight even lower than under the rear seat, and outside ...
