Re: HOWTO: ESP32 Drop in replacement boards

For anyone with an earlier Zombie without the direct solder connections for the wemos ESP8266 or ESP32 this seems to be working for me.

The Olimex plugs into 10 pins marked "ESP WiFi Module" "Conn1"
Connect it as shown here, only the four pins on the RHS are used.

Re: HOWTO: ESP32 Drop in replacement boards

I've been using the ESP32 in my Zombie for a couple of weeks and so far so good.
I haven't seen any communication errors since installing it and before they were frequent so I'd say this is a very worthwhile upgrade.

Re: EM57 test run with bridge rectifier

Check all your pins in the header are fully pushed home, I had similar issues and it turned out one of the pins hadn't fully clicked in so wasn't connecting. It would be worth double checking your soldering too.
If your precharge is working and the Zombieverter is going into run mode then the Gnd ...

At the risk of sounding stoopid, could you use wires to prevent them drooping too much? It might be easier than remounting the whole thing.

So Tom suggested a change to one of the Nissan Leaf files in Zombie and it seems to have worked a treat. I now have full control of the level of brakeregen in the same way I had in firmware 2.22.
I don't think the change made any difference to throtramp but since the throttle response feels great I ...
