I finally had time to install the 15K. Did not connect the Grid back; just the batteries and the solar.
Using 10k right now. Dryer 6 kWh, stove 2.4 kWh, water heater 1.5 kWh, and the rest are small loads.

Re: [DRIVING] VW Touran powered by Nissan Leaf [FINISHED]
Most of the time it sits around 4000 rpm, max speed is 7500 rpm but I rarely ever go there
In know that is not recommended to keep the transmission at high RPM because it gets hot. Now I do not know if 4000RPM is good or bad for your transmission. Are you monitoring the temperature of the ...

Re: EV car conversion hardware
yes I bought few times battery cells from a company and this year they burned me sending some cells that were a little inflated and did not want to fix the order. So i know it can be hard to trust Chinese sellers.
for 2nd part, yes I was born in Europe in a Schengen country and lived there ...

So are the 2 OEM cars are heavier on the driver front side ? I would think that they have to take in consideration the driver weight.

Re: QCA7000 Foccci+Clara User thread
I would prefer the question-answer approach, with the goal to further extend the FAQ section in the Wiki (maintained by everyone). I think this makes the information more accessable and more agile than two hours of boring technical video.
For example this is the CCS1 (USA) socket I got from ...

I just bought a CCS1 socket with the cables and would ...

Since this is the last year in USA when I can get the 30% tax rebate I bought the Solar 15k. Found it in sale.
It can take 26amps on each of the 3 MPPTs.

Re: My Off Grid Solar
I used all 12 this summer when the battery was low, but already disconnected the #12 panel. i am afraid to keep it on. I would have them 2x6 in paralel but then my cable would pass 2x12.4 Amps not sure if that is good for my 10GA cable. I would have to pull another 120ft/30m cable.

I was cleaning my shed and found the old Grid Tie inverter. If anybody wants to pick it up for free let me know. I am in north Georgia.
4kw and 98% efficient. I only used it I think a little over a year.

I am getting the same error after I put the ignition on. I have to do all my changes and then put the ignition on to test.

Re: Flying ADC 16 channel BMS 96S test
This is the Chinese version of the ELCON, I guess.
Was trying to find out if I can send a custom message from the Open inverter BMS. not sure if anybody tried it.
If this works then I can reuse this charger in the future for a different voltage if needed.

When I was testing I used about 40v. Solar panel on the car and super capacitors. The car was moving for few seconds and then stopping until the solar panel charged again the supercapacitors.

Re: Can't Initialize Isabellenhütte ISA Sensor. [SOLVED]
I was trying to use the Arduino UNO version with the shield but I get a lot of errors.
The ISA works but i cannot add the 528 message for energy since I cannot make the sketch work.
If anybody has any suggestions.

I am working on a variable controller for the PWM water pump to spin based on temperature of the water.
With the help of AI I have the code that works in Serial monitor and shows the correct temperature and even changes what should be the water pump temperature.

I'm inclined to think we're travelling rather cheaply: 78,47€ for 170 kWh of public charging accounting for less than 4 ct/km in energy cost. All other charging was free via Schuko. Let alone the CO2 footprint ....

Finally end of July and usage was almost 1400kW. this means that only the AC used about 600kW, based on the average of winter and spring months.
About 800kW average. that is no heat at all since I use wood to heat my house.
I can get higher usage only after I start charging the electric car. but ...
