Re: [WIP] Leaf to VW Type 2 Campervan

I think the 24kwh bms has been reverse engineered and it's possibly to flash new firmware on it, so possible to work with a different pack. There has been some alluding to this on the forum.

If you are referring to the Panasonic cells then yes I have them they are also used in the Lexus UX300E which is where I got them.

Didn't realise fusion could do this. Maybe I'll need to have a look at modelling my designs in it. Which motor mounts are you using? I'm currently looking at my options.

Bench test - Leaf with OI board (v3) and zombieverter. Spins a bit then stops until manual intervention

So I've got my bench setup spinning but wondering why after a few spins, ut stops responding. The inverter whones louder but no spin until I turn the shaft by hand then it spins again for a bit.
I'm sure it's my params (to follow shortly...)
Any ideas on the likely culprit?

OK, so the vehicle speed is made up from byte 5 and byte 6 and is calculated by (b5 + b6*253)*0.01.

Re: Reverse engineering the MQB Electric steering rack

So I've had a little more time to mess with this.
I'm flying by the seat of my pants as I go here so may be making hard work of what you all would find pretty easy but playing the filtered CAN log back at the rack for 0FD EPS_21 I get assist and speed values showing on ODIS.
I played a log whilst ...

I had issues when trying to flash over CAN with multiple boards connected. If I flashed the first board then all others dropped off completely with on temporarily bricked. I had to disconnect and reflash them one by one over the STM link.

Reverse engineering the MQB Electric steering rack

I'm looking for a bit of direction in trying to hack this MQB rack from a VW Transporter 6.1.
It works in fail safe but it'd be nicer if it ran with the speed mapping to the level of assist.
I've got some Canlogs from a MK7 Golf (I think) and played them back. I've identified the differences between ...
