Re: [WIP] 1986 Ex-Military Land Rover 110 - GS450H
With the tractor more or less functional I've gone back to the Land Rover. Which means more rust of course. This time on the bulkhead, the foot wells on both sides are pretty bad, as are the top corners. Cut away all the rust and this is what I have to work with. Patched most of this up today and ...

Re: Crazy Idea - Could This Work Instead of Swapping Busbars?
I tried this with an LDU a year or so ago. Inverter made some unhappy noises so I didn't try for very long as I didn't want to blow up the LDU either.
Decided not to pursue it much further given how old the LDU is these days.

I would set regen to 0 for now. Then add it in slowly when it's driving to suit your tastes along with regen ramp which looks too high for now as well.
Also change throtramp to 5.

Added PP detect on the zombie module and today charged with zombie controlled charger for the first time. Updated the github with this code.

Re: MG Charger Hacking
So I've made a bit of progress with this. I have DC-DC running on a zombie test module, I also have charging running with fixed frames, these frames are in the current zombie test module but I haven't done any charge start code yet so it's not 100% functional.

Short drone shot. It seems driving a tractor and a drone at the same time is quite difficult. No fancy auto follow on my drone.

The only thing I would say about using the original gearbox is that it does noticeably affect the efficiency. I've worked on a 90 with the leaf setup into the original gearbox and it was around 1.5 miles per kWh.

Battery is now all in along with all the 12v wiring. Next on the EV side is MG charger testing/hacking.
Also have some more restoration to do, threw a few body panels back on which all need a little bit of welding and some new window rubbers.

Re: [First Drive] Leyland 255 Tractor - Nissan Leaf EM61
Hit a nice milestone in the battery refit this weekend. All the modules are in, with most of the HV cabling done to the point of being able to get the lid on. I still need to finish off the 12v wiring inside the box and the rest of the tractor, plus a little bit on the HV side.

I think it's still mostly about wall chargers these days, but I'll be there on the Silent Classics stand all three days. This year I think we are planning to bring a Fiat 500 as always plus a Volvo P1800 with a zombie leaf drive train. Feel free to drop by and say hello if you are there.

Dashboard PCBs arrived last week. Brightness on the green is a little too much but nothing we can't work around. Next I need to figure out making a custom facia plate.

Re: [Driving] MG F - Outlander Rear motor and inverter.
Back on the road again! Made an attempt to swap front and rear spheres but it was a bit too tricky to get the rears off without dropping that subframe as well. So i've left it for now.

Re: [Driving] MG F - Outlander Rear motor and inverter.
Would it be possible to change the plumbing for the spheres to be front and back rather than left and right? Or maybe even have a valve for each sphere? No I didn't manage to get past basic charging. Didn't make much sense to carry on with it as the MG charger can do allot more in a smaller package and without the hassle of having to recode it.

My setup is an Outlander Motor direct drive into the original PG1 gearbox. In my first setup I kept the gearstick and experimented with gear shifting, with no regen. I found that upshifting was possible, but you had to wait for the motor to spool down a little before it would engage.

I've managed to figure out where most of the chassis brackets were meant to go in the last couple of weeks so it's looking a bit more like a complete rolling chassis now. Steering box is going on next week when the bolts arrive as well as the rear shocks.
