Can you post a picture of the waveform you see? Also check out this paper on oscillation between paralleled MOSFETS.

Re: Camry Hybrid Gen 1 Inverter Hacking

Not dead yet! Due to various excuses that I won't belabour you all with, I haven't had the most time to work on the inverter. However, I am moving forward slowly. Right now, I'm in the process of using a Huebner board to spin a small motor I have in manual mode using the method Damien used in his ol...

Thanks! Nice to see it layed out visually. Here's the pinout for the current sensors.
Anything else you need just let me know.

Again, thanks for the work!

Re: 1968 Land Rover Series 2a 109 Station Wagon

I guess manual mode isn't needed if you have a drop in board (read: ignore that). It's usually used for testing the bare bones functionality of an unknown motor or inverter by setting some parameters to have it spin at a fixed frequency. But, again most everything you have a question about may be an...

Re: 1968 Land Rover Series 2a 109 Station Wagon

1. 24 volts should work fine, just ahs to be able to supply enough current to get rotor to spin 2. Don't worry about this for now, just try to get it spinning in manual mode. Once you've done that, check out the "schematics and instructions" section on the wiki for some step by step instru...

Re: Camry Hybrid Gen 1 Inverter Hacking

Alright, been a while but full time work and school eats most of my time (as well as other projects). Figured out the current sensors, they're much like the Gen3 Prius (as far as supply, etc.), and was able to get some readings on a Huebner board. Based on that I was able to do some "quick"...

Looking over the manual and the source code, have you tried sending "s" through the serial? Since you're using it in no EVSE mode. Worth a shot

Since you live in the US, I would call around some wreckers in your area that have wrecked teslas, and ask if they have wiring harnesses.

If anyone is looking on ebay, they're going for about <$150, under the part number -- 24280796 --.

Re: Prius Gen 3 Inverter Logic Board Support Thread

Your answer supports why I ask. I'm considering running battery voltage around 96v-120v, and run a MGR, boosting voltage as needed. If bypassing the buck/boost renders the feature inoperative for the motor power, then it's not something I want to do. As of right now, no one has written software to ...

Re: Tesla Charger Support Thread

Anyone got a tip for me ? Can you take a good quality picture of your board? Also, you'd want to check for continuity between the usb port and the pin of the ATSAM, to test if you did a good a good job soldering. Me personally, I made one V4 board that wouldn't work or connect (or if it did connect...

Hi Again i would like to report a problem. I took a brand new ESP8266. I uploaded Johannes ESP8266 web interface ino file. Then i installed the SPIFs. Then i got inside web interface and set wifi password and SSID. Next i connected to my off car V2 board, but web interface wouldnt load parameters! ...

Re: Camry Hybrid Gen 1 Inverter Hacking

Scratch that, Damien DID get the IGBT's Firing, turns out it is like the Gen2 Prius in that there is no separate hi/lo pwm, and the driver board does its own dead-time, etc. Matter of fact, there's a whole thread. I guess I'll do some testing and once that works out, I'll just start designing a board.

Re: Camry Hybrid Gen 1 Inverter Hacking

I'm inclined to believe that these inverters are identical, (Caps and Buck/Boost board have the same part number, capacity, layout, etc.),however there is no way to know about the IGBTs. I'll be taking notes from the other thread that has made some progress on the Buck/Boost but have not fired the I...

Forgot to mention the inverter boards are identical between the Camry Gen 1 and the GS450h, as evident by their part number. I knew this already because someone here was using this inverter for their GS450h transmission.

Re: Camry Hybrid Gen 1 Inverter Hacking

Here's the insides. One challenge will most likely be the current sensors, as they are integrated into the Motor connections. Eventually I'll most likely come up with a solution to separate the current sensors from this "situation". Shouldn't be too hard, but they are riveted together.

Camry Hybrid Gen 1 Inverter Hacking

In an effort to be a bit proactive, I've decided to take on the task of making a drop in board for the Camry Hybrid Gen 1 Inverter. Everything will be documented in this thread, (no promises). Pictures attached are of the exterior, along with the inverter part number.

Re: Leaf Gen 1 Inverter Board

The 5v to leaf inverter might just be a spare? From the connector details it doesn't take 5v in, only 2 12v from the battery, 12v key on, and two 12v supply grounds. Also, Damiens board generates its own 5v supply rail, so no need to bring in any 5v to the board. In my configuration the only wires I...

Re: Tesla Model 3 Rear Drive Unit Hacking

Good to see you're using KiCAD, it definitely was not intuitive for me (Eagle -> KiCAD), but you can always do more with OSS as far as board size, layers, etc., without hitting a paywall. If you have any questions or requests about the program, feel free to ask.

I made a short video to try to explain the process for calibrating the throttle. https://youtu.be/5p4XJQWpv4s Here are the changes I made to the code. Re: Leaf Gen 1 Inverter Board

The "map" in the code takes the 145, 620 that you get from the ADC input (throttle) and makes a corresponding value from 0 to MaxTrq (maxtrq is defined later in the code as 2000). The 145, 620 are the values that the ATSAM sees that has been converted from the ADC input. Just as an example...

Re: Leaf Gen 1 Inverter Board

On the board, both throttle inputs are halved by a resistor divider, which accounts for the common 0.8V-4.5V output from most hall effect pedals. The ATSAM processor has a max 3.3v input for the Analog input pins (I believe). Note the digital inputs which are 12v in, but get resistor divider'd to ap...

For the Prius throttle pedal connector, search "7283-1968" on AliExpress, and if you don't mind waiting, you can order them from there. I got mine and test fitted, everything fits like oem.
