Re: Need Help: Test Spinning Prius motors with FOC firmware [SOLVED]
Eons later I have returned to this problem and solved it. I did Damien’s resolver test he outlines in his FOC tuning video, and I also realized that I had a value of 10500 for syncoffs, which was good enough to keep my motor from spinning.

Gen 3 Prius Dual Motor Board Paid Support
Hello everyone, I am looking to see if anyone is interested in building out/programming an V1d board for me for paid support. I have a conversion project that is mostly put together, but have hit the snag of struggling with my inverter board, even with the generous help of people on this forum. I am...

Re: Chevy Volt Gen 2 charger 24281923
I am not sure…
Mine has less markings on the AC connector than it did on the DC one, just says “DELPHI”
But I have not spent much time looking for it yet.

I have found that this connector works for the HV DC output on the charger: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/det ... -1/5423199
and this one for the control pins: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/det ... 01/1756779

Re: Need Help: Test Spinning Prius motors with FOC firmware [SOLVED]
Thank you both! unfortunately I've been away from my testing set up, but will be back Tuesday and will be making updates to my parameters/troubleshooting per your advice, and getting new resolver plots.

Need Help: Test Spinning Prius motors with FOC firmware [SOLVED]
Hello everyone, I have recently been trying to get MG2 spinning on my Prius transaxle, but have not been successful for awhile and could use some help. I have a gen 3 prius inverter and transaxle, and am currently trying to get MG2 to spin. I was able to get it spinning with an open loop test using ...

Ah Shoot, dumb mistake! I was looking at the pinout description on the gen3 board wiki, forgot about the separate schematic for the dual motor boards. Thank you!

Question: Can I connect 2 resolvers to Gen 3 Prius Inverter
Hello everyone, I am doing a conversion with a Gen 3 Prius Inverter and gearbox, and will be using both MG1 and MG2. I have already welded the PSD, and have the dual motor (V1d) board from EVBMW. Looking at the pinout for the idc connector for the bord, I can only see connections for one resolver. M...

Re: Need Help: STM32 Trouble Programming [SOLVED]
Success! With the the ST-Link Reset Mode Settings set to "Software System Reset", and Program and Verify in "Validate After Programming" mode, the Version 4 bootloader and "stm32_foc_DetectInvlaidSizeFFFF.hex" code you sent worked! :D Now both LEDs are blinking, and in ...

Re: Need Help: STM32 Trouble Programming [SOLVED]
I have been using ST-Link since I was having trouble with the cube programmer earlier. It returned 0xff not 0xffff. For now I would like to try and make these chips work. Pretty much all of my soldering experience is installing the connectors on this board and some parts of the power stage that were...

Re: Need Help: STM32 Trouble Programming [SOLVED]
Certainly progress :) When I use your readback to program in "validate after programming" mode, I don't receive any errors, just this: "00:11:39 : [readback_full.hex] opened successfully. 00:11:39 : [readback_full.hex] checksum : 0x017F2718 00:11:54 : Memory programmed in 11s and 359m...

Re: Need Help: STM32 Trouble Programming [SOLVED]
With my verification setting changed to "validate after programming" and the solder ball removed (there don't appear to be any others on the board) The "stm32_foc_StandaloneTestApp.hex" program worked properly and was able to get MG1's and MG2's LEDs to flash. Programming the STM...

Thank you for doing that!
Yes I will do all of those, I am going to try and find a genuine ST-Link as well. I will not be able to work on it until Wednesday, but I will send updates then.

Re: Need Help: STM32 Trouble Programming [SOLVED]
I have been using the latest bootloader from here: https://github.com/jsphuebner/tumanako-inverter-fw-bootloader/releases I just tried using the Version 4 bootloader from the same source, but with no luck. On MG1 (where I know that I once had a blinking LED) I tried loading the bootloader, doing a p...

Re: Need Help: STM32 Trouble Programming [SOLVED]
I was able to get that excess flux off of the board, and I renamed each ESP network so that they can be identified (I can now connect to either while both ESPs are installed). I just replaced the MAX735CSA+ on IC17, now I get a consistent -5V and it is not heating up a lot like the old one did. The ...

Re: Need Help: STM32 Trouble Programming [SOLVED]
Sorry for the delay since last post. I've spent some time working with it and here is what has happened: wifi modules: both appear to be receiving the necessary power supply, and I can connect to both individually (i.e. only one on the board at a time). When both are on the board, I still only recei...

Re: Need Help: STM32 Trouble Programming [SOLVED]
It looks like I need to add power to the ESP modules from a capacitor, this may be why I am only getting one network. After this weekend I will be back home with a 12v supply again and will test both modules. Here are photos of MG2 chip, MG1 chip, and info from the ST link: IMG_5837.jpg IMG_5838.jpg...

Re: Need Help: STM32 Trouble Programming [SOLVED]
Thank you guys a lot for the detailed responses. It turns out that I am getting the wifi that I am supposed to. I knew that the modules put out wifi called "inverter" with a password of "inverter123" but in the wiki it says there should be a wifi titled "ESP-..." which ...

Need Help: STM32 Trouble Programming [SOLVED]
Hello, Working on my first conversion, hopefully this isn't a stupid question--I don't want to waste anyone's time--but i have been looking around on the forum and haven't been able to figure out my issue. I bought a completed dual motor gen 3 Prius Inverter board from Damien, but while following th...

Re: Prius Gen 3 Dual Motor Logic Board Support Thread
Most of this info appears on the schematic. C91 82pF, C92 10uF, IC17 MAX735CSA+, L7 10uH MWSA0503-100MT, D9 SS54B, R65 130K, L5 MH2029-300Y. Thank you for the help, I wasn't sure where to look, but from this info I was able to deduce what I should be looking for on the schematic. I found parts that...

Re: Prius Gen 3 Dual Motor Logic Board Support Thread
I saw the V1c B4 files Damien released, from which I can determine the L5, L7, and R65 (should be the same parts for my V1d right?) but the V1c BOM did not have the info for IC17, C93, C91, C92, or D9. Wondering if anyone can help with these.
Thanks!
Thanks!
