Re: IMA Inverter identification and information

there is a power unit there. There is also a power inverter in your photo. but it has external current sensors and external power conductors, which makes it much less convenient to use.

That's not so. The prius has mg1 = 18 kW, mg2 = 50 kW.

an interesting feature, today I combined the outputs of two power modules in the front outlander inverter into one, but I left the current sensors for only one module! thus, I deceived the system, the brain of O.I. V3 thinks that, for example, only 100 amperes at phase 1, but in fact exactly the sam...

I figured out a bit about the pins on the board. IMG_20231118_193544.jpg it remains to find out where the output of information about HIGH volts, temperature and which numbers to give a low sig to open the drivers? Is anyone familiar with this information? I'm sure it can easily be connected to a le...

Re: outlander rear motor + openinverter board ?

I would like to know if this is possible with FOC firmware. Initially there is something that I don't see how to solve, because in the motor resolver connector there are 6 cables (R1, R2, S1, S2, S3, S4) and on O.I. mainboard v3, I only see 4 entries in JP2: pin1=S3 pin2=S1/S4 (two wires from motor...

Re: New use case: 230V AC from a few V DC

Got some new code for you: https://github.com/jsphuebner/stm32-island So I did the obvious: hook up a 40V battery to the Prius Gen2 DC input, run the boost converter to give us about 300V DC and then run two phases at 50 Hz to give us 230V AC. Feed all that through a filter and run your appliances ...

Re: Outlander rear motor and inverter

Yes this is possible, i planned to do this with a Lebowski board before the CAN protocol was available, you would have to keep the mainboard on the top as it handles the isolated voltages, then you would patch into the gate drivers and current sensors. do you have a scheme for this? could you draw ...

EV Create sells this reservoir setup for 80-ish Eur (VAT inc.)+shipping which is a viable option, just an expensive one. I am considering buying this from them but it's a steep price for a plastic box and some hose. https://www.evcreate.com/shop/brakes-wheels/remote-brake-fluid-reservoir-for-iboost...

8 kHz, 160 deadtime. do you remember that in all circuits for the ima inverter, the upper lower control points are confused in places? Hm... i was seeing a lot of EMI while using HSG inverter with IMA and Lebowski over 220Vdc. I would love to use it with 320Vdc where HSG is made for. But current sensors wouldnt cooperate over 200Vdc and there was a lot of rocking at low rpm. Can you explain how did you solve this? Did you use spec...

Of course resolver pole ratio needs to be 1:1 at least for automotive design... Did you use rear motor or one of the front ones? ht...
