Love the Vectrix, nearly bought one of the few in Ireland. The motor has an encoder, correct?
Maybe the Honda IMA-based Lebowski is the right size and Roger (Kiwifiat) sells conversion boards for this inverters - I'm running one myself.

I'd start with the (chest-) freezer and a heat gun if you want to take it easy and have no time pressure.

How many Arduinos do you have by now? I totally get the hammer and nail situation as I'm way behind in those skills but it seems a bit much in terms of complexity & failure points, even if only on the 12V side.

Can you get Outlander PHEV components in your area? They're a "size" smaller and the rear unit might be suitable as a "diff replacement": https://openinverter.org/wiki/Mitsubish ... Drive_Unit

As far as I know you are not allowed/ it´s not easy in Germany to just cut parts of the bodywork out and have it legally with the TÜV....
Also I would like to have a bolt in version which is way easier to `do with the TÜV, as you are not allowed to stiffen the chassis, or do any major changes to ...

+1 Get it going first.
Learn while you can (at least partially) enjoy it already.
It will do wonders to your motivation. Safety first obviously.

Are the 300h available in Australia? Might save you a bit of space and weight, even if it's early days: https://openinverter.org/wiki/Toyota/Lexus_GS300h_CVT

Probably not much point, but are there any aero mods you could do on the underbody to increase range? E.g. cover the sections that are now open and thus messy where the exhaust went?

Some contactors have 72V coils weirdly enough.
I also think that your cells need compression before putting any load on them.
Best of luck!

Hi, could I ask an easy question...hopefully. I've also got a Passat battery, what's the voltage of each module? I need 48V modules so don't want to break it open unless the modules are 48V. Do you know? Love the build and the real-life timescale!
To explain, i bought the battery for use with a ...

Looking for single 24kWh Leaf battery module [Ireland]
edit: got sorted by someone in Co. Cork
Trying to replace the one I lost on the motorbike. Should be ZE0 (2011/2012) with at least 50% SOH to match the other ones.
Ideally Ireland or NI to keep shipping reasonable /or arrange pick up.

Is there any interest in having a DIY EV conversion / OpenInverter stand next year there? I'd certainly bring the bike (again).
