ok, issue was me. After unscrewing plastic shrouds around 3 phase and using some force to move board to correct place i succeeded and all bolts are in place. Some are still bit miss aligned but bolts can be screwed in without chewing board.
My invertor has extra white plastic around 2/3 phases ...

Re: Tesla Model 3 Rear Drive Unit Hacking
Shouldn't be a problem. My apologies for the hole misalignment. Its really frustrating but I am reducing the error with each revision.
No apologies needed at all, one of first version available for public so any errors are expected. There is also good chance that i messed up something.

Re: Tesla Model 3 Rear Drive Unit Hacking
Have you tried loosening all the fasteners and giving everything a bit of a gentle jiggle from side to side and back to front? Th
Thanks.
My board doesnt have room to wiggle (maybe 0,2mm), board is pretty much hold still by top right locating pin and HW loop.

Re: Tesla Model 3 Rear Drive Unit Hacking
All so far went well.
Regarding TDK power supply (should be on future boards) i decided to order new, mine us covered by coating on one site.
Issue i faced are:
Hole H10 mentioned that being slightly off is expected and it is not issue, mentioned in video.

Re: Tesla Model 3 Rear Drive Unit Hacking
i was looking into coolant connectors a bit more.
Generally we have 4 connectors on drive unit, 2 on heat exchanger and 2 on inverter manifold.
Heat exchanger - Aluminium, internal diameter 18mm no any marks
Inverter manifold - plastic, internal diameter 18mm, Tesla part numbers 1102191-00-b ...

Re: Tesla Model 3 Drive Unit Mechanical Hacking
Progress is slow, many small details that are hard to be replicated or i will not replicate them. Working with CAD/Fusion after 20 years of not using these tools is hard.
First issue i am facing is "requirement" of 2 litre of atf oil as it takes considerable amount of space.

Because I desoldered my board i will post few notes for future adventurers:

1. To remove board you need to desolder all joints marked in green, total of 51 solder joints. I used just solder iron and solder wick.
2. You need to desolder High Voltage interlock loop marked in orange ...

Re: Tesla Model 3 Drive Unit Mechanical Hacking
You’re a bit mistaken, there’s no coolant in the m3 drive units. Only atf. The oil pump runs Through a heat exchanger, then into a manifold. this manifold diverts part of the oil through a port that pushes the oil through channels in the stator. the other part of the manifold pumps oil through the ...
