Re: Rear SDU on foc?

Thx for the fast response and explanation. So a async motor we don't use the foc, only for permanent magnet motors? Correct. FOC is (probably) superior, but extremely difficult to implement on an async (induction) motors. Openinverter only supports FOC on permanent magnet motors. Don't worry though...

Re: Develop a QCA7000 board?

We've also got the chip serial which is unique This sounds good. If we append the STM32 serial number to the 02:: prefix, we should get a nice unique and consistent address. A) We decide we generate those for the users of focci. The easiest way (for now) is to use a local administered adress. I per...

Re: Develop a QCA7000 board?

Since we don't have a Vendor ID, the best way to generate a valid MAC address is to use a "locally administered" address. For this to be valid, bit 0 of the first byte should be zero, to indicate a unicast address, and but 1 of the first byte should be one, to indicate locally administered...

Re: Zombieverter and Tesla SDU Openinverter

How does Zombieverter, in combination with SDU (or LDU), handle the overcurrent event when it is not aware of the tripmode (=1) setting of the OI board in the DU? Zombie would not be aware of the error. It will simply leave the contactors closed until you turn the ignition key off. This is the beha...

I was under the impression that Damien had the equipment necessary to certify this. I don't know if he's produced any documents though, and it may be a lot more complicated than doing a test and printing a certificate!

Usually a hardware failure would cause an immediate trip, excessive load under current seems like a configuration issue.
What hardware are you using, and what parameters?

Where do you guys source the QCA7005 chips? Pretty sure the answer is Aliexpress. There are several sellers there offering them. Re: About to spin for the 1st time, but how to properly turn OFF the system [SOLVED]

As long as the motor is not spinning, and no throttle is applied (ideally in neutral) then it's safe to disconnect the HV.

You can turn off the HV first, or the HV and LV simultaneously.

Wifi is disconnecting every now and then .. sometimes parameters won't seem so show up to web interface and might take a long time to appear. Re: Wanted: Arduino programmed in North America

If I'm understanding correctly, the program already exists.

I know you said you don't have much time, but I'd say loading an existing program onto an Arduino is extremely easy. I would strongly suggest that you at least try. The page you linked provides a program that will do this.

I've created an issue for another frequently requested feature - dead-zone free regen throttle mapping: https://github.com/jsphuebner/stm32-sine/issues/38

Please could we create some tags to properly label "feature requests" and "bugs"?

Re: Accelerator pedal dead zone

One nice thing about making regen proportional to speed is that as well as eliminating the deadzone, it also replaces brkrampstr.

Please post your configuration and wait until someone looks over it to make sure you don't break anything. It sounds like you haven't calibrated your throttle input, which is definitely necessary

Re: SDU: No udc voltage

If you're definitely seeing 186V going into the inverter and at the same time, udc is showing near zero then one of two things must be wrong:
1) The udc measurement circuit is broken.
2) The udcgain parameter is wrong

I'm not sure if this helps you, but I can't think what else could be wrong here.

Re: Develop a QCA7000 board?

I've just had a look at the FOCCCI board (actually mostly just the buck regulator), and I would strongly recommend making some layout improvements here for the next revision of the board. In particular, the current paths for the input and output capacitors are much too long. 1) The input capacitor (...

Re: Tesla LDU Controller Stops Working with Aggressive Throttle

"Fweak" also concerns me. Shouldn't it be lower with an empty battery than with a full one? So be dependent on the current battery voltage? It's not terribly important, but if you want that, openinverter will do it automatically, just set udcnom to your nominal battery voltage before you ...
