It's been raining more than usual here (and of course only at weekends) so not much going on. My neighbor did stop by and ask was I building a CyberTruck

Agree, harvest those extra leads and you may have enough extra to only need to buy the cheaper bare connector for your next conversion

Re: [WIP] 1964 Scout LS600H conversion
I thought I was done with structural rust repair and then spotted this little guy lurking under the dash 20240316_112900.jpg Of course, it turned into a bigger adventure than I anticipated when I looked from the other side. Needed to sort it out as it is around the door pillar area. Tricky spot with...

Re: [WIP] 1964 Scout LS600H conversion
Small update, but lots of time messing around finding fittings and parts to completely replumb the braking system. Chevy Volt Gen1 iBooster, proportional valve and 10 lb residual pressure release valve for the rear drums. All new NiCopp brake line throughout. First time using this stuff, and I'm sol...

Re: ISA Shunt With ZombieVerter VCU [FINISHED]
I have that same PN ISA shunt that I got from EVWest and had it talking to zombie without issue, reading current and voltage on a bench test setup. That is a great price compared to what I paid.

Re: Connecting a GS450H to an existing Transfer Case?
I apologize for neglecting this thread! I am just picking up this project again. I just fetched a 2007 Tundra for sub $1k last week! I was about to use a 2005 Cayenne for the project but a 4x4 pickup truck is my preference... Next week, I should be able to test fit the LF1A transfer case shaft on m...

Re: [WIP] 1964 Scout LS600H conversion
Fitting the modules 20240101_164215.jpg I was able to reuse a lot of the bits from the original pack 20240102_135056.jpg I had to splice into the BMS harness to extend the reach to the top layer. Here is how it was originally. I bought a pin remover tool for the Molex minifit connectors, but for the...

Finished front and back battery box mounts and trial fitted: 20231221_132857.jpg I flipped the orientation of the top and bottom battery modules to better accommodate the available space. The top layer will overhang the transmission a little, giving room for a radiator up front (I hope) Not shown th...

Re: [WIP] 1964 Scout LS600H conversion
With the drum brakes, you might need a pressure retention valve or residual pressure valve for a proper function with the newer style master cylinder. I'm not sure about the Scout, but some cars with drum brakes need to have a static pressure in the system even when the brake pedal is not depressed...

Re: [WIP] 1964 Scout LS600H conversion
Have you spin up the ls600H transmission yet? Is it identical to the GS450H bar the transfer box? I like the look of that Hyundai EPAS, it looks way more compact than the Corsa options that are commonly used. Yes, see my video a few posts back. Seems pretty similar to GS450H, some inverter wiring s...

Stripped down the B250e battery pack and starting to work on the battery box 20231110_081006_1.jpg 20231121_125614_1.jpg The box will be pretty long (40"). Packaging is proving hard on this short wheel base truck with a long transmission and long batteries. Still I think I can do it and be able...

Re: [WIP] 1964 Scout LS600H conversion
Mounted a ibooster from a Chevy Volt. The master cylinder has a large bore size - perhaps 9/8". Having a hard time stepping down the fittings from the M14 inverted flare female on the master to regular 3/16" for rest of the car. Still need to replumb the whole car. 20231011_172058.jpg 2023...

Haven't posted in a while so this is a bit of a catch-up. I mounted the stronger jeep axles, leaving the axle perches un-welded for now and I'll burn them in once I get weight on the truck with batteries installed etc and set my pinion angles correctly 20230518_113123.jpg Put in new springs and shoc...

Re: Packard 1956 with Lexus GS450H
Make sure you keep the flywheel damper assy that has the splined center section so you can lock the input shaft to use both motors. Also keep propshaft and transmission cross member. Shift selector mechanism may be handy. Might want small things like fuseboxes and coolant expansion tank

Re: PCS - Wifi board stopped and 3V3 LED fades out
Did a little more troubleshooting. From the schematic IC4 converts to 5V and then IC1 steps down further to 3.3V. I probed the IC output pins and it will hold 5V at IC4, but IC1 will only output 2.5V at first, dropping below 2V after a short while. I'm not an EE, but looks like something is up with ...
