Hi, at this moment we are working on a Leaf battery emulator BMS that works with Peugeot (Stelantis) modules, in this case 17 instead of 18 modules.
The first tests on our test bench are very positive, the Leaf motor stack runs. For this test we used the Resolve EV controller, however, I have no ...

Re: For sale: various HV battery components (fuses, contactors, modules etc)
Hi, Do you have cooling elements from a Peugeot (Stelantis) battery pack? I am looking for the one that takes 4 modules, back to back.
It is located in the rear section of the pack.

Re: Nissan leaf harness bench test with stock components
Hi, there are alternatives to Resolve EV or Zombieverter.
Look at Ripletech's controller; https://shop.rippletech.co.nz/#/shop
or
the controller from Active Automation ReinCARnated VCM V5; https://www.activeautomation.co.nz/aal-reincarnated-vcm-v5

Very nice motor mounting! Looks very professional!
by the way; I am working on a controller that can operate the small park acuator motor on the Leaf gearbox.
As soon as I am finished testing it I will place a post.

Re: Landy 90 Conversion
Hi, good project. My suggestion is to take a Leaf stack without gearbox and bolt it onto the LR gearbox, use the original engine mounts for the Leaf motor. The output shaft of the Leaf can be connected directly to the input shaft of the gearbox. I believe Brat Industries has a universal shaft for it ...

Hi, yes, as a matter of fact, I am now doing tests with the prototype board. As soon as I have some results I will post them here.
The board has the mossfetts to controle the motor and a controller with CAN bus. It can be used as a stand alone or in a CAN bus system where it can send out a current ...

Re: [WIP] Leaf to VW Type 2 Campervan
On the Daihatsu Rocky I made a longer tunnel just to keep the motor and PDM clear of the firewall. This worked fine.
I welded on the center of the clutch plate to a tube which had the input shaft of the Leaf gearbox welded onto it.
As there is little to no vibration the shaft simply stayed in place ...

Why not move the motor more back, away from the gearbox? It looks like there is enough room.

Re: For sale 110-160 kw Nissan Leaf stack (motor, inverter, PDM)
Thought this old thread might be a good place to ask this PDM question.
Does anyone know the height of the later Leaf PDM? I know the lid looks a little different to the earlier domed ones. I am height constrained so may consider swapping the PDM, but I can’t find dimensions anywhere.
Thanks ...

The lid on that Golf's PDM is home made, if you look at his other videos you will see he has the Gen3/4 PDM cover plus the square box on top of it.

I am still working on the 50 kWh battery. The 'new' BMS will read all moldules and emulate the Leaf battery. This will be a product I can use and possibly also sell to builders.

Hi, Nice project. Yes, you need either the VW or Leaf accelerator pedal. I had some small issues with the Resolve setup but mainly stupid stuff (not connected properly etc) Also the type 1 AC charge port needs to be connected, otherwise nothing happens (also)

Hi, I am also using the Resolve controller in my Saab 93 cabriolet. However, I kept my original Saab instrument cluster which I control with a separate controler that reads from the Resolve CAN bus all the parameters I need.

Re: Foccci board as Chademo to CCS conversion
I have the battery pack voltage from the Leaf BMS, so that's no problem. I only need to find a way to get this can message to the Foccci.
I am surprised that the Chademo does not have the pack voltage included in it's CAN set.

Re: Foccci board as Chademo to CCS conversion
Thanks!, I think i can arrange something. If this works I can now have a permanent CCS2 on my Saab, instead of the cumbersome and expensive adapter. I am planning to built the second one, again Leaf (160 kW), however, this time with Peugeot battery modules.
