Hi, good project. My suggestion is to take a Leaf stack without gearbox and bolt it onto the LR gearbox, use the original engine mounts for the Leaf motor. The output shaft of the Leaf can be connected directly to the input shaft of the gearbox. I believe Brat Industries has a universal shaft for it ...

Here some pictures

On the Daihatsu Rocky I made a longer tunnel just to keep the motor and PDM clear of the firewall. This worked fine.
I welded on the center of the clutch plate to a tube which had the input shaft of the Leaf gearbox welded onto it.
As there is little to no vibration the shaft simply stayed in place ...

Why not move the motor more back, away from the gearbox? It looks like there is enough room.

Does anyone know the height of the later Leaf PDM? I know the lid looks a little different to the earlier domed ones. I am height constrained so may consider swapping the PDM, but I can’t find dimensions anywhere.

The lid on that Golf's PDM is home made, if you look at his other videos you will see he has the Gen3/4 PDM cover plus the square box on top of it.
