Looking for LIM from NA car

Hello.
I'm looking for a LIM module which came from a North America car with CCS1 port.
I brought a LIM module from Europe, but apparently they're coded differently.
Please let me know.
Thanks in advance.

SDU drop in for sale

Hello.
Selling my SDU v6 drop-in board.
It's brand new.
I purchased 2x of these thinking I'll convert 2 cars, but reducing my scope to just one car.
I live in Northern California, USA.
Can ship for a little extra - it's quite light.
Asking $300.
Let me know.

Re: Sending Custom CAN messages from SDU openinverter board

Hello. Could somebody please give me a hint where am I going wrong here? In the attached screenshot WebUI reads motor temp = 15.09C and heatsink temp 20.09C, but on the receiving end of the CAN bus, I'm reading motor temp = 12.80C, heatsink temp = 20.21C. Both SDU and my teensy talk at 500k. This is...

Do you know if the LIM came out from the vehicle with CSS Type 1 or Type 2 socket? Apparently they are coded differently.

Re: Simp BMS

I'd like to verify something, please. I have 14 Tesla MS batteries in series - 5.3kWh, 232Ah each. None in parallel. When it comes to setting the battery pack capacity the firmware defaults to 100Ah. Is that a precautionary value since diy batteries aren't new so this to be left as-is or changing to...

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller

The connector from my CCS1 socket doesn't have a wire on 2B-6. And 2B-2 and 2B-6 are not joined inside of my LIM. Below is a schematic of what it looks like inside of LIM. So looks like if we have a none i3 socket, just jumping 2B-2 and 2B-6 will do the trick and no need for the external resistor. ...

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller

Here's what I'm receiving on 0x3b4, decoded per my understanding. Looking back at my notes, before removing the resistor LIM did id the charger as Type 2 AC, but now doesn't. I have watchdog setup and LIM Alive counter on 0x272 does update, so the data is refreshing. Nothing plugged in to the charge...

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller

Oh so you have a Type 2 coded LIM, note the wiki states that the BMW I3 Type 2 does not have a resistance to ground. Try to remove the resistance to ground in the charge port to see if this allows it to operate as you would expect. As you would want the LIM to wake up correctly when the plug gets i...

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller

What is the LED colour that the LIM drives? If it is red it is an issue. I would say check your wiring for Proximity and the grounding on that 6 way connector. None of the LEDs driven by the LIM turn on. I tested LEDs with the meter, they light up and are the correct polarity. I tested the voltage ...

Re: Simp BMS

Why are you compiling? There is a .hex you can upload. If you compile your own versions then giving support on any issues is not really possible due to library changes ect. ok. Learned something new. I'll try the .hex file. Is it the most up-to-date? Shows a month difference between the project and...

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller

Is it an issue that LIM always reports that the charging plug is connected, regardless of whether it is or not? I'm using the i3 charge socket. Other CAN values seem to update correctly - ex. pilot current, pp_status, charging_type etc. On the ac charger itself, when unplugged from the socket only &...

Scrappy CHAdeMO to CCS adapter for EV Conversions

Hello folks. As I was progressing with my wiring I had an idea, wanted to bounce off your brilliant minds. While CCS chargers are outnumbering the CHAdeMO, there're still many CHAdeMO ports out there and as the number of CCS vehicles is growing, CHAdeMO plugs are often unoccupied. I have a CCS charg...

Re: BMW LIM based CCS2 Controller

Cool. Looks like removing these two 60ohm resistors joined in series removed the CANbus termination, so the LIM can be put anywhere on the bus. Thanks. Re: BMW LIM based CCS2 Controller

Cannot seem to locate the termination resistor. Right on the inputs it has the filter circuit (zeners and chokes), then then traces disappear into another layer.

Must the LIM module be at the end of the CANbus and no workaround?

A quick confirmation. If my SDU isn't the last device on the CANbus I just need to de-solder the R37 terminating resistor?

Re: Voltswagen T2 -76

It does have a bolt pattern very similar to the VW one. Just a few mm's narrower on horizontal so I'm getting away with just widening the mounting bolt holes a bit in that direction. https://pixelfed.fi/storage/m/_v2/530130149058689089/f1538e3aa-7b3151/PMXU9LOwuc4x/XHrXiFuhnwdrYGaIhuJjmfv2wpETH3c2R...

Re: SDU brake lights output!?

While the OI firmware provides such an output at a regen level you can configure, the SDU and LDU boards do not export that signal to the outside world. I see. Is it by chance an option to send a regen message via CANbus? Curious if somebody actually triggers the brake lights during the regen if th...

Hello folks. Quick question. How do you trigger the brake lights from the SDU OI board (I have v6) in your projects? I have a pressure switch on the brakes proportional valve, which I will use to trigger the max. regen - brk sw input to the OI bored. Planning to use the same signal to trigger the li...

Not sure if the ones I bought are Bosch, but "fuel injector" was the right key word to finding these on Amazon. 😁

Folks.
Does anybody know what connector is used for the Tesla honk?
Inside dims 11x12 mm. 5.5 mm between pins. The pins are flat, not round.
