Re: Reverse engineering ST62

Thank you very much for that reply. I will abandon that plan and stick with more of a workaround for my issue

Reverse engineering ST62

Unrelated to diy EV conversions but thought worth an ask here.
I have a 120 litre Ice cream batch pasteuriser, it is run by a STM ST62. I would dearly lovely to alter it's temperature range (currently 65-95C) so I wonder how naive it is to think about reading the code and modifying it accordingly?

Re: Daihatsu Fourtrak

So that's ~416wH/mile, actually about what I had guessed at, good to know thank you. Any thoughts on my question about the transmission above? I'm currently having second thoughts, I just got my first ev, a Zoe, I'm really loving the ride comfort and have started converting it to a 'van' for dogs an...

Re: Mounting motor/inverter/PDM separately...

I did that in mine. Note that I did add some cable protector and proper cable mounts and I would recommend a ground sleeve/mesh for the motor phase cables for EMI reasons, it's on my late to-do list. As for the PDM, it has cables already, just cover the extra holes you aren't using. Nice one, thank...

Yes I've read that before, I've also seen plenty of batteries put up front

Re: Variable throttle response

Hi Greenbeast. Do you mean the throttle will ramp up slower or reduce power ? I'm thinking of something akin to an 'eco' button on a production EV. But more specifically to dampen throttle response to make off roading (low range driving) more practical. So you hit the button and you then need more ...

Re: Mounting motor/inverter/PDM separately...

Interested because I'm wondering if I could mount the inverter and charger forward of the motor and leave a nice large, square area for batteries/HVJB above them all

Variable throttle response

I did post this in the nissan section but then it occurred to me, it's not unique to any given donor system. Forgive me if this is common knowledge or a common thing to do but it occurred to me that a variable response throttle might be handy given I am converting a 4x4, I am keeping the transmissio...

Variable throttle response

Forgive me if this is common knowledge in the leaf motor reuse world but it occurred to me that a variable response throttle might be handy given I am converting a 4x4, I am keeping the transmission and therefore the stock low range box. But presumably with low end torque of an electric motor I don'...

Re: Daihatsu Fourtrak

I notice you still have the rad up front, does it have a purpose in the conversion? Also, I know you've retained the stock transmission, do you have thoughts on the hi/lo aspect? Do you think you still need it, given the motors inherent capability? I was wondering about deleting the hi/lo gear stick...

Re: Daihatsu Fourtrak

Hi, Just wanted to let you know that I am also working on a EV conversion for the Fourtrack/Rocky. My aproach is using the Nissan Leaf motor and inverter. From what I could see on the Mercedes G conversion (also on this forum) it looks like the setup directly onto the transferbox should work, eithe...

Leaf Gen1 battery swap

I see firms are offering this now, where do we stand on diy swapping a 24 to 40kWh pack?

Did a quick search and nothing immediately popped up here.

I'm looking at getting a Leaf as a daily driver in the next few months, with my conversion project on the back burner for now.
