Re: Gen 3 Prius Transaxle P410 Makes Clunky Noise.
Long and short of it is, The zombie was thinking the inverter was reporting a really high temp so it was cutting throttle. Turns out the Zombie was looking at the wrong byte in the serial comms with the inverter. This is now being worked on by Damien with my support to resolve this and verify the ot...

You can try passing current through the fuse on the bench, but with your reported readings it sounds blown.

with the transaxle split into an open faced sandwich, spinning MG2 by itself with the final drive gear removed we noticed that it pulsates either always in the same spot or maybe two Do you hear any abnormal noises from bearings or gears when split apart like this? There is going to be firmware soo...

Re: Gen 3 Prius Transaxle P410 Makes Clunky Noise.
https://toyota-club.net/files/faq/21-12-01_faq_hybrid_tr_en.htm#P410 Input shaft does spin oil pump and the PSD. So if you weld the PSD it means if you lock the PSD, input shaft spins with the MG1. Here is the mechanical system diagram. gets quite complex due to the PSD image.png Good document with ...

Re: Gen 3 Prius Transaxle P410 Makes Clunky Noise.
Also MG1 has no way of transferring any torque, due to not having an engine in it.
Also this means no oil pump working, so locking the PSD is the only way to get the oil pump working and MG1 capable of providing torque.

Re: Gen 3 Prius Transaxle P410 Makes Clunky Noise.
So you are saying that spinning it by hand you feel no weird resistance or noise? It is very possible your power supply is limiting or you getting a big drop across your tiny test wires into the inverter causing it to drop in and out. Is there oil inside you gearbox? As it could be MG1 and MG2 fight...

Re: 1984 Voltswagen Rabbit Prius Gen 3 ZOMBIE
you need to set UDCsw to 0 to bypass contactors. Please post your full settng download.
You need ignition power this should be the pin 15 you mention, and then also a start signal pin 52 as per diagram linked.

Tesla does this for AC:
- Digital comms via Single Wire CAN on CP, if no response time out and go to PWM -12V +12V like other charger.
You could just do this with SWcan and even just run chademo protocol

Re: Battery packs with 3p
Why 3p, you are quite lost. How many cells are in parallel has nothing to do with its performance.
You need to find the continuous and peak rating of the packs. The cells used and in which configuration has no direct link to this.

Do you have internal wiring information showing the signals between the "Cell Measurement/ Voltage Sensor unit" and the Battery Master ECU?
Best to do would be wire the whole thing back up (you should have not stripped it fully ideally) and grab logs, before changing anything.

Re: VW electric coolant heater
I'm confused. have you sent an output of 100% Before the wiki said it was a power request in Watts and not %. The requested 100% resulted in 13.5A draw at +/-365V or 5kW draw. So this is good and is as per expectation. Also confirmed the heater self regulates if it gets too hot, the test setup was ...

What voltage range?
Is the weight including or excluding the housing and all other required components?
You are going to struggle to find anything really with these specs. Like really hard.

I would prefer someone to confirm this who has actually tested it though. And I haven't heard of the other brands. Yes I have ran this a few times, it works. Most chargers will be like this too as the CP in the EV needs a diode, the -12V is for the station to make sure its not a rouge resistance on...
